We are
proud to be a fourth-generation family business
We
have been established in Benalla for over 100 years,
and with a commencement date of August 1926, we can lay claim to
being
the
longest-established GM-Holden Dealership in Australia
It all started in
1903, when the first of the Arnott’s arrived in Benalla with horse
and cart. Herbert William Arnott set up a coach builder's workshop
on the banks of the Broken River where the Mural is today.
His
two sons, Herbert (Young Bert) and Murray Arnott followed in his
footsteps and the business expanded to include bicycles and
motorcycles. In 1926, General Motors Holden was founded, and
Arnott's have been Holden dealers ever since. |

Neville Arnott took
over from his father Bert in 1975, and successfully led the
business for almost thirty years. His son Rick Arnott joined the
company in 1988 as Service Manager, then moved into Sales a few
years later. He became Dealer Principal of Arnott's Motors in May
2002 - the fourth generation in the family business. |
